Medical Updates from Haiti

01/23/10 - This weekend a plane full of Doctors will leave from New York carrying just a portion of the supplies and resources that your efforts have made possible.

  • Over 50 pallets of supplies containing items like oxygen masks, sutures and insulin syringes
  • More than $100,000 worth of goods
  • Defibrillators
  • Well over 50 wheelchairs, hundreds sets of crutches and commodes

Once in Port-au-Prince, the goods will be taken to a field clinic working with Inspire Haiti, a nonprofit organization that frequently sends doctors to Haiti.

Special Thanks to Marcy Sasso, Ambulatory Surgical Center of Union County, Yvan Ducheine of the New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad, Dr. Alan Goldsmith (Coordinating for the Haitian Consulate) and countless others for making this happen.
